- Which files can I upload?PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx), Markdown, JPG and PNG up to 50 MB each, and MP4, MOV and WebM videos up to 200 MB.
- How do I organise folders?Use New folder, and drag the ⋮⋮ handle to set the order investors see.
- Who sees a document I upload?Every investor who has access to its folder, straight away. A document at the top level, outside any folder, is seen only by investors you give it to directly.
- How do I replace a document with a new version? On the document's page, under Versions, upload the new file (the same type as before) and add a note on what changed.
- How do I tell investors about new documents? When documents are added or updated, the Documents page offers Tell investors.
- Can I search inside documents?Yes. The search box on Documents looks through names, folders and the words inside documents.
- Can investors see a summary of a document?Yes, once you choose to show one. On the document's page, Summary for investors can be written with AI or by you: a short overview and key points that link to their pages.
- What is a key document?A document that shows real intent when an investor opens it, like the cap table, the financial model or the term sheet.
- What is the due-diligence checklist?A list of what investors usually ask for in a seed or Series A round: 34 items in 8 sections, from the pitch deck to ROC and FEMA filings.
- How do I collect files from my accountant or lawyer? With a file request. Say what you need, and Galley makes an upload link to send them (or emails it for you).
- Can I download the whole data room at the end of the round?Yes, as the Closing archive: one ZIP file for your lawyers, with every document as uploaded (without watermarks), an index, the full activity log, every NDA version and acceptance, investors and their access, and the questions and answers.
- What happens when I delete a document?Investors lose access to it straight away. Galley keeps the file in storage so the activity log stays complete.
