Activity and reading data
What Galley records about investors, and where you see it.
- What does Galley record? When investors sign in, open and download documents, how long they read and which pages, what they search for, their questions and requests, and when they accept the NDA.
- How accurate is reading time?It counts while the document is open, its tab is in front and the reader has been active in the last five minutes, to within about 15 seconds.
- Can I see how a document was read, page by page?Yes. On the document's page, Page-by-page reading opens a report: time on each page, how far each investor got and who read to the end, with a spreadsheet download.
- Where do I see everything one investor did?Choose Activity on the investor. Their page shows documents opened, time spent, downloads, calls, starred documents, places and devices, and a full timeline, with a spreadsheet download.
- What is the engagement score?A score from 0 to 100: reading time (up to 30 points), how many documents and how much of each (25), coming back on different days (25), questions and requests (10), and how recently they were active (10).
- What makes an investor "hot"?Any of three signs: coming back on 3 different days within a week, reading a document to the end (90% or more of its pages), or opening a key document.
- What is the AI brief on an investor?A short brief Claude writes from the investor's activity, questions and your team's notes: what they're focused on, open items, talking points and what to watch for.
- What is the Activity page? The record of every significant event in your data room, which is never changed, with filters by person, document and kind of event.
- How long is activity kept? Two years. After that, activity (views, reading time, places and devices) is deleted automatically.
